Too cool to react, too chill to be caustic or toxic.
Nitrogen is one element that doesn't want to get up into anybody's grille.

Be careful of the quiet ones, though.

laughing gas?

by L.S.Erhardt on 4/12/2012 @ 11:41am
No, RR. It's sulfur dioxide (as noted by Capn' Britton). It stinks like rotten eggs and the IDLH level is only 100ppm.

And the KOH is potassium hydroxide. It's a very strong base. Ever see that white powdery stuff leaking out of an alkaline battery? That's KOH.

@ Jinx: I dig the joke

by CaptainBritton on 4/12/2012 @ 11:45am
Yet, your KOH is Pink? What happened to colorless?!? (Just playin'!)

Little Johnny was a chemist.
Little Johnny is no more.
What Little Johnny thought was H2O

Colorless doesn't work very well, I'm afraid. I take liberty with coloring in XD sometimes. Although, I do tend to use coloring more correctly on metals.

@ Joel: That made my day!
