Time is relative

Even if no cryogenic freezing is involved, a long enough trip will cause enough time dilation to really f-up your relationship with people back home.

Go to a 20 ly away star at 0.9c, it'll take you 22 years each way. So that's a 44 year round trip for YOU. Meanwhile back on Earth, a couple hundred years have passed.

A strange universe we live in, isn't it?

Time is relative? Your relatives will have lives without you? Spacial relationships can be a bummer...

Plus when the space time traveler gets back the Earth will resemble the Planet Venus due to the runaway greenhouse gases caused by those great apes that formerly resided there.

Indeed, space is absurdly and unimaginably big. There is stuff out there beyond the "horizon" that is so far away that the light will never reach us.

In sapce, one isn't uploading comics at 4am and can see typos.
