fill your ballot with women...  Binders full of women!

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 10:51am
you don't even have to read those boring voter guide booklets... just copy my answers.

by cisserosmiley on 10/25/2012 @ 10:54am
***Super NO on letting UW invest without public oversight***
***Giant super NO on Jake Fey who has sold your enviro services to Waste Management Inc. from Stockton, CA. -- see recent Seattle garbage news for a glimpse into our future.***

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 11:09am
Why even bother reading that voter guide you get in the mail? all grey and it will smudge your fingers. don't even bother.  Just listen to Cissero and your old pal, RR

by Joel 413 on 10/25/2012 @ 11:28am
FYI - The information the opposition states in the voter guide about UW loosing $500M on a $2B endowment is correct. However, what they fail to point out is that was one of the SMALLEST losses by percentage of major endowments at Higher Education institutions across the country. The UW has an extremely diversified and stable investment account (that's what an endowment is folks, money that is invested to make more money, and you use the profits/dividends from that money to operate)

Look for yourself:

Education funding needs to be revamped and diversified, the state now only contributes 7% of the total UW budget. Let the UW turn it into more.

*note, this is a personal comment and does not necessarily reflect the views of my employer (the UW)

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 11:42am
but why pump that money into the pockets of wallstreet fat cats?   invest in your students UW!

by Joel 413 on 10/25/2012 @ 11:46am
Well, would you rather have $1,000,000 once, or a $0.01 doubled every day for the next 30 days?

by cisserosmiley on 10/25/2012 @ 11:59am
I would vote NO because that fund should be ultra reserved in its strategy, so 0% private your grammy's annuity. Slow, reserved, consistent, low-risk are commendable goals with public funds.

by Joel 413 on 10/25/2012 @ 12:20pm
If I read the information correctly, the state moneys would be invested separately from the endowment. But I refer to the endowment to share how the UW is careful of it's investmentsand is very responsible in how it handles it's investments and money (unlike say... a certain public transit authority)

by The Jinxmedic on 10/25/2012 @ 12:26pm
"$0.01 doubled every day for the next 30 days" Trick question!

by Chris.Tacoma on 10/25/2012 @ 2:50pm
$10,737,418.23 - that's what Excel tells me is the answer to ^^^ $0.01 doubled every day for the next 30 days is.

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 2:52pm
buy now! invest!!

by The Jinxmedic on 10/25/2012 @ 3:57pm
I know what you are trying to say, but "$0.01 doubled every day for the next 30 days" is actually sixty cents...
Day 1: $0.01 x 2 = $0.02  Accumulative total: $0.02
Day 2:  $0.01 x 2 = $0.02 Accumulative total: $0.04
Day 3: $0.01 x 2 = $0.02 Accumulative total: $0.06
etc, etc, etc. until:
Day 30: $0.01 x 2 = $0.02 Accumulative total: $0.60
Now if what we actually meant to say was that each day's total was doubled to the next day, and then that day's amount was doubled- then we're talking millions of dollars by the end of the month.
Day 1: $0.01 x 2 = $0.02
Day 2: $0.02 x 2 = $0.04
Day 3: $0.04 x 2 = $0.08
Day 4: $0.08 x 2 = $0.16
Day 5: $0.16 x 2 = $0.32
Day 6: $0.32 x 2 = $0.64
Day 7: $0.64 x 2 = $1.28
etc, etc, etc.
Day 30: $5,368,709.12 (the first day isn't doubled)
It's all in how you phrase it- don't get stung by a sucker bet.

Good guide.

by tacoma_1 on 10/25/2012 @ 4:14pm

I already voted,  and agreed w/all your candidates 'cept Jake Fey. I actually would be happy w either candidate but think Jake is more of a transit advocat than Lauren Walker.

by Joel 413 on 10/25/2012 @ 4:20pm
yes, medic. you get the spirit of what i am saying. the constitutional ammendment is asking that UW and WSU be given the opportunity to be entreuprenurial on thsir funding ability.
by providing the CEF report, i am attempting to demonstrate the fiscal responsibility that the UW has when investing. considering the UW contributes >$20 to the state economy for each $1 invested by the state. the UW is a good investment.

by The Jinxmedic on 10/25/2012 @ 4:43pm
I cannot in good conscience vote this list.
I see monarchist candidates nowhere on it.

by cisserosmiley on 10/25/2012 @ 5:13pm
My objection to 8223 is it gives legislators oversight...and lobbyists will soon to follow.
Jake Fey will retire or pass a natural death before he even learns where the one good can is, let alone a leadership position...Lauren Walker could sit in Olympia for years and not fall asleep during a hearing.

Hey RR, your election picks are uncannily similar to those of JZ Knight and the 35,000 Year old Warrior she channels named Ramtha.

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 7:30pm
Ramtha is a little punk-ass compared to the might and glory of JEHOVAH-1 (aka JHVH-1).
Ramtha can't fold space and time with his pyramid breath.
Ramtha can't see the full scope of cosmic horror.

JEHOVAH-1 is the only ancient alien space god, all others are little farty baby poop

by NineInchNachos on 10/25/2012 @ 7:32pm
JEHOVAH-1 is Self-existent, Uncaused and Eternal.

by Chase on 10/26/2012 @ 8:43am
RR-I am hypnotized by your list. OBEY!!! (And I hear it is endorsed by the League of Women Voters.) Binders full of women!

by NineInchNachos on 10/26/2012 @ 8:51am

by JesseHillFan on 10/30/2012 @ 2:42am
Bump.I had to look at this guide to assist me.Thanks RR and I wrote in Robert Jesse Hill as a write in candidate for Sheriff too (I'll get my friend and his family to vote for Mr.Hill as well as a write in candidate).I definitely voted yes for Prop 1 to combat the fascist addicted car driving fossil fuelers.

a single tear... runs down the cheek of Ramtha.

why do you hate amerkia?

by NineInchNachos on 11/5/2012 @ 8:13am

get those ballots in!  here is a google map of the closest drop box.   If you see a GOP party van, don't give them your ballot... turn your ballot in yourself!

by JesseHillFan on 11/5/2012 @ 8:39am
I rode right to the auditors office several days ago and dropped it off.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/5/2012 @ 9:34am
I voted third party where possible and wrote myself in for all unopposed seats.

by JesseHillFan on 11/5/2012 @ 9:47am
Good idea Jinxmedic.I couldn't stand the unopposed candidates either that''s why I wrote in the name Robert Jesse Hill on all those unopposed positions.Had you stated so earlier I would have wrote in your name instead.
