by The Jinxmedic on 1/27/2011 @ 6:14am | Nice coat! |
by Mofo from the Hood on 1/27/2011 @ 8:16am | Could Tacoma ever inspire another Alfred Nobel? |
by The Jinxmedic on 1/27/2011 @ 8:49am | (I like the Cadillac, too.) Perhaps the city could inspire another I.G. Farben, instead. |
by Mofo from the Hood on 1/27/2011 @ 9:45am | There may be a connection between the development of Tagro and the proposed development explosion of neighborhood community gardens.
God save us, as Tacoma public officials proceed to shape the city into a peaceful land of farmers and battery powered technocrats coexisting in harmony under a rainbow sky. |
by NineInchNachos on 1/27/2011 @ 10:21am | well it can't happen fast enough. i've been taking exit133 through city center every night commuting home and dang does Tacoma STINK at night. THE AROMA OF TACOMA IS NO MYTH. smells like paper pulp ass. |
by jenyum on 1/27/2011 @ 10:24am | Complain! We are theoretically not supposed to be smelling that. www.pscleanair.org/contact/complaint.asp... More info about who to call and what to do about air quality complaints: tacomamama.com/content/whats-smell-who-c... |
by Mofo from the Hood on 1/27/2011 @ 10:59am | If one can't occupy themselves with work at a local manufacturing plant or study the intellectual achievements of man within the confines of a Tacoma library or museum, then subsistence farming is a fine substitute?
|
by Erik on 1/27/2011 @ 11:08am | Get pumped on the hyperlocalism/Shift Happens/Tagro thing!![]() ![]() www.tacomashifthappens.com/ |
by NineInchNachos on 1/27/2011 @ 11:09am | OH BOY, I'm good at complaining! |
by The Jinxmedic on 1/27/2011 @ 11:10am | That's for sure.... |
by Mofo from the Hood on 1/27/2011 @ 11:41am | Without complainers like AKA-NIN then Tagro happens and the self-congratulating City cultivates a new way to marshal incoming checks and balance sheets. |
by KevinFreitas on 1/27/2011 @ 12:28pm | "...peaceful land of farmers and battery powered technocrats coexisting in harmony under a rainbow sky." Well said! |
by Thorax O'Tool on 1/27/2011 @ 1:04pm | Tagro is the first step. It's less explosive than nitroglycerin.
Ever wonder why the city doesn't allow composting toilets? It's because humanure is 2x more powerful than C4. And now you know. |
by NineInchNachos on 1/27/2011 @ 1:27pm | Humans and their weaponized poop. HUMBUG! |
by NineInchNachos on 1/27/2011 @ 1:31pm | anyway, just waiting around till Jessie Hill Fan comments |
by cisserosmiley on 1/27/2011 @ 1:45pm | there persists the rumor that tagro is human remains - both explaining the aroma in the post clean air era and the shrinking cemetary industry??? |
by NineInchNachos on 1/27/2011 @ 9:04pm | it is quite possible there are human remains in TAGRO. If somebody flushed grandma's ashes then she go in TAGRO. I've found used condoms in my TAGRO, that counts as human remains too eh? |
by Catmandoo Doo on 1/27/2011 @ 10:28pm | I was in Tacoma today. Tacoma's aroma was bad as usual. |
by Jesse on 1/28/2011 @ 8:11am | Anyone have a list of specifics of what buying local does for a local economy? I've seen it at a few stores before. |
by JesseHillFan on 1/29/2011 @ 12:47pm | O.K. NiN I'm here.I see no problem with this as it would be easy to make home improvised Nitroglycerin,Nitroglycol,Nitromethane,Trinitrotoluene,R.D.X. or mercury fulminate blasting caps etc.
Basic ingredients are homemade Nitric acid,Sulfuric acid and whatever organic chemicals you need to nitrate (sometimes 2 nitrations are needed as in the case of T.N.T.).One also needs to adjust the pH and do some of these nitrations very carefully watching temperatures, slowly and under cool conditions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitration Nitric Acid is pretty easy to make en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitric_acid#Indust... and Sulfuric Acid well easily obtained from car batteries or en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulfuric_acid#Manu... O.K. to know but not O.K. to do unless officially authorized. |
by STFU (See the Future Unveiled) on 1/30/2011 @ 1:40pm | All of you little pseudo-intellectual cyber hunchbacks get ready. I'm coming for you. |
by JesseHillFan on 1/30/2011 @ 4:19pm | Take your meds u 414. |
by NineInchNachos on 1/30/2011 @ 8:59pm | is that you 'In A Coma in Tacoma' ? |
