Tacoma Action Figure: Lewis Kamb, City Reporter!
Impossible for Any Reporter to Be as Exciting

Just had a conversation that resulted in the conclusion that it is Impossible for any reporter to be as exciting at Lewis Kamb. FULL DISCLOSURE, several Kamb stories inspired several Tacomics past. For Example: Is the Mayor of Tacoma ethical? Yes, but now with an asterisk (*) see State of the City aux Tacomic; Is the Chief of Tacoma Police a dirty rotten liar? Yes. Do people who call the Chief on the lies face retaliation? Yes. Do cops who lie get fired because it ruins their credibility? Yes. see Gaul Bramed Liars Tacomic. Did most-likely-to-be-a-cartoonist, City Council appointee DAVID BOE violate ethics rules when he voted on the lousy Cheney Stadium revamp design? Lewis Kamb is so awesome he even keeps tabs on the Clear Channel Billboard Holocaust... too many tacomics, waste of time to see them all.
Lewis Kamb wins awards for god sakes! How many TNT reporters win awards? Did you know he used to work for the Seattle Post Intelligencer? My only constructive-criticism of Lewis Kamb is that he needs to tap into those pesky Homeland Security Council Meeting minutes. There is liberal/libertarian newspaper outrage gold in there! Ian Demsky used to monitor the minutes, and man some freaky stuff (check out Ian's horrifying poems).

One key finding is that while media in general are diverse and vigorous, local reporting has taken a significant hit. We were especially amused by his “culturally insensitive sidekick.” Although puzzled by 'no longer known as Hook-nose.' What does that mean?" The humor joke with the NOSE was meant as a 'what if' like what if the NOSE was a comic-relief character developed in the 19th century yellow press by an evil racist industrialist say somebody like Henry Ford who was big into newspapers and bashing people of jewish descent ala The Dearborn Independent, a/k/a The Ford International Weekly BUT as newspapers became more self-aware decided to drop HOOK from THE HOOKNOSE and just call the character The NOSE.
