Based on highly scientific statistical analysis and weaponized data mining techniques, The TACOMIC has expertly crafted these rustic VENN DIAGRAMS to summarize EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW about the candidates (and more) in this, the first Feed Tacoma Living and Working Virtual Town Hall Question and Answering Service (FTLWVTHQAS).  Special conservative thanks to rainmaker Fredo for making it happen.

SUPPLEMENTAL AWESOME comment from candidate Dexter Gordon lifted from a facebook comment you probably wont read anywhere else:

I was raised in the Baptist Church. My father was a fisherman and my mother was a fish vendor. Ours were very humble circumstances with very limited economic resources. I have always understood the life of the outsider. I went to Wheaton on a scholarship, otherwise I would not have been able to afford graduate education. I also worked my way through college. I am a very strong opponent of the "Texas textbook agenda." Yes, I believe in evolution, the best scientific evidence we have is definitive. Sex education must be available in schools. I went to Wheaton Graduate School as an adult. I have always been on the social justice side of my religion. The side which says, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the outcast...what you do on behalf of the least and the lowest is the measure of your substance.

Okay, so I'm seeing public access tv + world masturbation day = 'not insane' and that public access tv + computers + world masturbation day = 'solar'.

I mean there is a hell of alot more to be learned from this Tacomic than just that, but that's one lesson I'm taking away with me.

I venn digram fredo because you can use him as a write in candidate... (even though it won't actually count).

It also appears that libertarian values + world masturbation day = cannabis OR robo-calls, but apparently not both. The mind of Jesse Hill must be a very interesting place.

You guys need to vote Jesse Hill into a seat on the council so he can get the ball rolling on making World Masturbation Day a holiday officially recognized by the City. If you guy's wanna steal the spotlight from Seattle and really put your fair city on the map here is your chance.

I see parades with dildo shaped floats, lube and vibrators tossed out into the throngs of self fornicating revelers, that would steal your city some headlines for sure.

Granted you likely wouldn't be acknowledged as a peer of Seattle, more like the creepy cousin that everyone tries to avoid getting caught in conversation with at family functions, but you would be noticed.

Had the privilege of witnessing Candidate Hill being oppressed/expelled from the city link light rail today on my voyage to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Poor guy can't catch a break.

was a heated argument but from what I could tell (or maybe not) one of Mr. Hill's electronic devices was interfering with electronics of the train?

He is clearly a man who lives his life against the grain. It's a lifestyle fraught with peril and non-stop PR nightmares.

You ranked me right between Robt. Hill and Kyle Jolibois. Guess I'll have to try a little harder next time.

Watching these folks in "action" was a sobering experience.

None of them discussed the provision of city services in a context of declining prosperity, declining tax revenues and an ongoing recession.

Atkinson does allude to the fact that the economy might make make this a bad time to launch new programs. Smitherman sort of blathers about liberal causes/service increases and paradigm shifts. Anders has the best straight up response on the question of digital billboards but he undercuts his entire appeal by talking about tax increases and staffing increases at city hall. I don't think he knows about the recession yet.

The questions were pretty lame as were the responses.

Personally, I think what needs to be established is an 'identity' for the city focusing on drawing a specific industry(-ies) to the area. There's not a silver bullet big ticket tenant, but if we could find something like Redmond (Software development) or South Lake Union (Medical Research) that could attract a group of smaller businesses that benefit from being in a similar geographic location, then we might start to see a turn in the tide.

We also need to make downtown more attractive to businesses wanting to be located there and people want to live here. There needs to be a destination core, with retail and restaurants that draws bodies into the city. We don't need something like Redmond Town center, but more like Westlake (or more precisely the neighborhood around 5th and Pine in Seattle) but with businesses not directly tied to the Tacoma Maul. perhaps more like the University Village, but without the huge parking lot.

Hey, i have an idea for a new TV show if Anders gets elected. It's a buddy show premise. We team him with Officer Fulgham and every week they see what kind of trouble they can get into.

Episode 1: Anders is driving the car cause Fulgham is so sleepy. Unfortunately, Anders can't see over the steering wheel so his sleepy buddy has to steer the car. He steers the vehicle right into a elderly Chinese senior citizen who couldn't figure out how to cross the street because the funding for the ADA slip ramps was diverted to the Chinese reconciliation park. Lots of good laughs. Episode was brought to you by your good friends at Marsha Moody Insurance!

Fredo you seem to have an issue with the Chinese Reconciliation Park. I have heard similar complaints from you about the improvements done to Wright Park Those required all public money. What if we just changed the name of the Reconciliation Park to say "Right Park?." Would you be okay with it then?

Those what? The improvements at Reconciliation Park or the improvements at Wright Park?

Wright Park.

Yes, the improvements at Wright Park would require public funding. I don't remember what my rant was about but we enjoy Wright Park so I wouldn't recommend any changes at this time.

For the record,

I never expressed any preference for one candidate over any other. Each candidate had a couple of strong points and there was no candidate that I didn't find some common ground with.
