My fellow citizens, 
It is with great sadness that I simultaneously announce my resignation of POLITICAL CARTOONIST from the Weekly Volcano, Tacoma Weekly and The [Tacoma] News Tribune. I would love to continue my brilliant career, believe me, but the continuous stream of frivolous ethics complaints have become too much of a burden for these community newspapers. And so out of respect to the people of Tacoma, and the brave sacrifice of the American soldier I step down--but not out. Please show your support to FREEDOM(tm) by remembering to purchase my cartoon autobiography whenever, Todd Matthews my ghostwriter gets around to finishing it, don't ya' know!  And to my many socialist art critics, isn't it time, by gum, ya stop making things up?
