In this year of our Goddess (of Commerce) 2011 A.D. voters are faced with an exciting opportunity of self-discovery--how far are you willing to go for real-time, teeth-full-of-man-flesh change?  Or simply, are you willing to look yourself in the mirror and admit, yes I am an agent of KAOS!  There is an old anarchist saying: "Vote for the worst"  well depending on what side you're on, one man's worst is another man's best.  SO depending on your personal outlook on life I, your friendly neighborhood cartoonist, have arranged the candidates into two columns... control and chaos.  Simply fill out your mail-in ballot with the candidates etc. from your column of choice.

also a quick scan for use of bold fonts in the voter pamphlet is disappointing. Julie Anderson must have purged all the bolded words this year.  see for yourself! www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/abtus/ourorg/aud/...

Why Karen Vialle on the Kaos side?

by NineInchNachos
on 11/1/2011 @ 8:13am
she's not afraid to get down and dirty observe:
"documents describe how Vialle and a female student got into a shoving match in November 2001, after Vialle reportedly told students they were misbehaving, compared their behavior to chimpanzees at a zoo and used profanity."

How did Scott Heinz end up on Team Kaos?

(Great Tacomic by the way)

who is Scott Heinz?  Who is that?  I don't know who that is? just kidding.  Chris Van Vechten is a supporter so he must be up to something.

Obviously Erik, the artist couldn't decide if you represented Control or Chaos. Don't worry, our family already voted for you as I'm sure every right thinking person did as well.

Oh.  I've talked with Scott Heinze, he's a good guy with relevant experience.  I don't think either he or Gordon are a terrible choice, I voted for him. (I also voted for you, Erik!)

damn!  I flipped through that voter pamphlet like 3 times...  where are the parks people hidden?

Jerry Thorpe is running against you, right Erik?  That's the guy who ran for school board last time who doesn't have an email address and wrote a voter pamphlet statement devoted to the importance of teaching cursive in schools.

damn!!  How could I miss that?  I have a freaking Hanberg sign in my yard.

Thorpe doesn't have an email address and thinks kids should practice their penmanship? Well, that disqualifies him from elective office as far as I'm concerned.

hmm.  cartoons suffer when cartoonists use stock fonts instead of hand penmanship...  Mr. Hanberg what is your position on penmanship ?

Really appreciate the votes, thank you fredo and jenyum!
Jenyum, yes, same Jerry Thorpe.
NIN, I'm all for penmanship (especially since mine is terrible) but do we really have to force kids to write cursive "Qs" like really big 2s? Whoever came up with that letter?

I don't get to play for the most part, since I live in Puyallup.  However, we have our own version of Control vs. Kaos, especially in regard to the City Council candidates.

What does a yes or no vote on that amended moratorium actually mean, though? It looks like some no votes for the moratorium generally and some for the amendment. Those are really different positions. How does this inform your voting choice?

I'm confused.  they added bunch of loopholes so I'm not sure there is a difference between the yes or no votes.    Marty?     moratorium yes - loopholes added walmart builds....  moratorium no - walmart builds.
