I try to choose dynamic perspectives for each cell as advised in the HOW TO DRAW COMICS THE MARVEL WAY book which I highly recommend. Here John K highlights an example of killer perspective and excellent draftsmanship of ALEX TOTH, one of my personal heroes. Oh my goodness, there goes my humble HFW shanty!

by Mark Monlux on 10/8/2010 @ 6:59am | Ah! The spiderman cardigan returns. |
by The Jinxmedic on 10/8/2010 @ 8:33am | I see you found religion, as well. Is that a two-cylinder engine block with a four-liter displacement? Cool! |
by NineInchNachos on 10/8/2010 @ 8:42am | Why has he forsaken me!? :) |
by The Jinxmedic on 10/8/2010 @ 9:30am | Probably because of that engine block. Or maybe it's the level of general (I'm inventing a word here) snarcasm. heh. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/8/2010 @ 9:47am | well those rusty engines are all over the beaches where I come from. |
by The Jinxmedic on 10/8/2010 @ 10:17am | 4-liter two cylinders? That would make for a MASSIVE Citroen 2CV.
All kidding aside, I already like this year's 24-hour comic better than the 2009 model, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the following installments. (The Clark Gable 'stache is another nice touch for "20 minutes into the future", by the way.) (And I didn't miss the "SOILent tagro" pun either. Nice work.) |
by NineInchNachos on 10/8/2010 @ 11:10am | I believe they were used to drive air compressors or lifeboats or something mining or fishing related. |
by fredo on 10/8/2010 @ 11:13am | that's a block from a Yugo. We use them here at Fredo city as combination planters/urinals. |
by The Jinxmedic on 10/8/2010 @ 11:55am | @NIN- that's a pretty big displacement. They would be fun to hook up to something, but I don't know what...
@Fred- Fredo City has its own TAGRO plant, too. It didn't start out that way, I'm sure... |
by The Jinxmedic on 10/12/2010 @ 1:21pm | Fredo City!

by The Jinxmedic on 10/13/2010 @ 5:35am | I thought you would like that. |

The video of this title is also wonderful. Alas, if you're like me and don't have any artistic talent, it's all for naught. But it did give me a huge appreciation for work that cartoonists create. Hip Hip Horray for CLAW! |
by NineInchNachos on 10/13/2010 @ 12:40pm | I'd like to see that video. also CLAW news: our new zine should be hitting the streets soon. |
