Okay stop me if you've heard this one about the local hot head who goes around assailing old ladies dressed up for election night... no? Well the News Tribune political buzz blog paints a disturbing mental image. Even the New Takhoman felt compelled to record the event. Of course through the widely differing accounts of the witnesses, The Tacomic takes creative license AND THUS a true hero emerges: Mr Timothy Farrell.

The Friday before the election, I got a note with Mr Miller's name, wanting me to call him. After the show I talked to him, and he said that he just got done listening to the Merritt interview, and he wanted to know why all the commercials were missing. He wanted to know who the advertisers were that week and if any had supported or endorsed Jim.... Read MoreTHEN he wanted to know if Merritt was running ads that week because it sounded like a Merritt info-mercial. No shit. I told him that the commercials are removed from ALL podcasts AND archived shows, it's industry standard. As for the interview, I reminded him that we had also interviewed Marilyn. I made the same offer to BOTH candidates for ads on our show AND KLAY, neither camp took us up on the offer, so NEITHER side was advertising on KLAY. I assured him that we do NOT sell interviews, to ANYONE! EVER!!! I told him that I didn't want anyone running around town behind my back saying that I OR our show is bias, or willing to sell out. How the HELL we got dragged into this bullshit is beyond me. What he thinks he, OR his candidate has to gain by attacking ME or our show is beyond me. It sounded like a desperate act by a little man. It was not smart, and frankly makes me suspect of the team Marilyn has. |
