Jake Fey is the kind of guy who takes no chances. That's why even when he's running unopposed, he will do whatever it takes to get his message heard by the people--who really have no other choice in the matter. Who will win the District 2 city council race? Everyone who is IN the race... or one man, Jake Fey, who is in a race against himself... but also against nobody. Venn diagrams? We don't need no stinking venn diagrams!

by Thorax O'Tool on 10/26/2009 @ 11:36pm | I propose a write-in! I live in District 2. Everyone, vote for me and I'll promise to do more than nothing once elected! How many city council candidates can do that? You don't need a fancy-schmansy venn diagram. All you need is some awesome propaganda and a scapegoat. ![]() ...and I now intend to get a Walcom because that was too damn tedious scanning and then touching up. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/26/2009 @ 11:41pm | I already sent mine in with "The Traveller" written in. |
by Thorax O'Tool on 10/27/2009 @ 12:15am | That's a wasted vote and you know it. He has no propaganda!!!!! |
by fredo on 10/27/2009 @ 7:19am | It's not a bad gig. Full health care benefits and you don't even have to show up for work. |
by Ann on 10/27/2009 @ 8:15am | I've heard Claudia Riedner's name suggested as a write in candidate. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 10/27/2009 @ 8:31am | Get out your ballots and remember this:

by thriceallamerican on 10/27/2009 @ 9:04am | Now c'mon, NiN, we all know you don't live in the district...and I don't believe Mr. Hill has ever claimed an address in that district either.
(And to Ann's comment, Claudia isn't in District 2 either.) So I guess O'Tool and Sepulveda are the only options? |
by NineInchNachos on 10/27/2009 @ 11:05am | way to spoil the illusion Jamie. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/27/2009 @ 11:06am | Mr. Thorax, is that fist inspired by Picasso? |
by ixia on 10/27/2009 @ 2:27pm | A little gerrymandering will take care of that, Jamie! Up the hill and round we go........................ |
by LogJam on 10/27/2009 @ 5:17pm | I like that little worm with the sunglasses in the lower left corner. Worms are cool. But why is he puzzled? |
by NineInchNachos on 10/28/2009 @ 8:16am | he cant find his 2 brothers. |
by Thorax O'Tool on 10/28/2009 @ 2:32pm | I thought it was an homage to Richard Scarry. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 10/28/2009 @ 3:15pm | More like the New Takhoman. |
by NineInchNachos on 3/3/2010 @ 8:57am | "Fey, who won re-election to his second term to the city council in November..."

by fredo on 3/3/2010 @ 10:38am | Fey is following the example set last year by Julie Anderson and Marilyn Strickland. They ran for 4 year elective office, then quit half way through their term to pursue other offices. This saddled the taxpayers with lots of unneccessary costs and made the focus of the council the replacement protocol rather than the business of running the city. Fey's announcment is really quite a sad commentary on his level of professionalism. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 3/3/2010 @ 12:00pm | The legislature doesn't pay hardly squat, barely more than the city council and with way more work. |
by NineInchNachos on 3/3/2010 @ 12:16pm | I enjoyed your comments here Crenshaw..
www.exit133.com/5730/councilmember-fey-a... "How many signs will Jack need if he’s actually running against someone?" |
by fredo on 3/3/2010 @ 12:22pm | "The legislature doesn't pay squat" Crenshaw
maybe not, but all the legislator's friends and relatives can get plum jobs from companies lobbying the legislature. Or they can get hired on as "administrative assistants" into government offices. After retiring these poorly paid legislators get a great benefits package and can usually get good jobs with the companies who lobbied them. Crenshaw, you're an adult, you know how politics works. Don't act so naive. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/23/2010 @ 10:00am | who needs legislature pay when you can DOUBLE DIP!

by fredo on 10/23/2010 @ 10:11am | who needs legislature pay when you can DOUBLE DIP!
the correct term for Jakes take-home pay is TRIPLE DIPPING. He gets a pension plus two government paychecks. |
by JesseHillFan on 10/23/2010 @ 5:41pm | I was at a local Lowe's home improvement store near Fircrest about a month ago.
While walking towards the entrance I recognized Robert Jesse Hill and spoke with him for a few minutes. First time that I had ever met him in person afterwards he gave me his business card. He will get my vote anytime that he runs for office. I will also use his name as a write in candidate for any and all positions. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/23/2010 @ 8:54pm | Try to get on his email list! |
by fredo on 10/24/2010 @ 9:04am | Not a huge outpouring of support for the wonderboy Mr. Jake Fey here on the boards at feedtacoma, except for his little buddy tacoma1. Maybe they are the same person. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/24/2010 @ 11:30am | I like Jake Fey. Keep him here on the Council! |
by tacoma1 on 10/24/2010 @ 11:31am | No I'm not Jake, or Marty.
BTW, the 27th District Dems endorsed him! www.27thdems.org/index.php?option=com_co... |
by fredo on 10/24/2010 @ 11:37am | The 27th Democrats endorsed the double dipping Fey?
Well, I'd say that's a pretty poor reflection on them. Their flag bearer is a greedy old geezer. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 10/24/2010 @ 11:52am | You didn't think that the 27th Democrats would be endorsing a Tea Bagger, did you fredo? |
by fredo on 10/24/2010 @ 12:01pm | With all the Democrats they could choose from (including Laurie Jinkins) why would they need to look at the tea party? You will be finding out on election day that people have tired of poor Mr. Fey. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 10/24/2010 @ 12:10pm | I am no friend of Jake Fey. The Sepulveda endorsement goes to Laurie Jinkins. Jake should be ashamed of feathering his own nest at the expense of our young people just entering the work force today. It is people like Fey that have stolen away the opportunities due our young people along with forcing them to pay for this theft well into the future via the higher taxes they will pay so that Fey can live in the style he is accustomed to. |
by cisserosmiley on 3/2/2012 @ 8:40am | Norm Dicks just announced he would not run again...should Jake Fey run for congress while running for legislature while being a sitting council person just to "take no chance" at winning? |
by NineInchNachos on 3/2/2012 @ 8:44am | yes!!! |
by cisserosmiley on 3/2/2012 @ 9:04am | Crenshaws comment above is important for any voter under 75 years old to remember-also voters over 75 who are compassionate for humanity |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 3/2/2012 @ 10:31am | If people were retiring like they should have since 2008 we would not have any kind of unemployment problem today. |
by cisserosmiley on 3/2/2012 @ 10:50am | @ crenshaw Best insight ever on feed Tacoma |
by NineInchNachos on 3/2/2012 @ 10:53am | getting old costs money. seems everybody is a slave to their benefit packages |
