VICTORY LAP to Laurie Jinkins and other freshmen legislators in their successful challenge of the unconstitutional 2/3rds majority rule to raise taxes! The supreme court sez: NOT SO FAST TYRANNICAL MINORITY OF REPUBLICAN WALL WARTS.  Extra Credit reading can be found here, here and here.  Not that it is any skin off the forehead of Tim Eyman, the dude gets paid no matter how stupid his citizen initiatives are.

I am already against Tim Eyman's next initiative.

You'd think since folks are getting paid to gather signatures they'd at least polite.

I saw Laurie Jinkins signed onto a bill paying freshman lawmakers a lower "training" wage for their first two weeks.

Laurie Jinkins - I
am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that we cound not
secure 50 votes to move the universal background check bill from the
House floor yesterday. Devastating. In January, I posted that I would
no longer be complicit in the murder, suicide and accidental deaths of
Americans due to gun violence. I feel that way even more strongly today
and will never, never give up.

Laurie Jinkins is the hardest working rep in Olympia - I sincerely hope everyone knows how lucky the two-seven is to have her...the downside to gun control this year is the house of reps tried and tried and tried to do gun stuff & it unfortunately used all the time up and 80 ish other bills are just sitting. So, while it is now legal to sell cider in a growler (passed) other bills that were good admin requirements for gov offices, services agencies, & under served populations sat idle...days of house floor sessions sitting idle...days of house floor sessions lost...
