by marumaruyopparai on 6/2/2009 @ 9:30am | That was awesome, it's like a two-for-one. Plus, because only the top half fits the screen, when you scroll down it's a total surprise ending. Great stuff.
Is that a particular character from Native American mythology (or Puyallup mythology)? |
by AngelaJossy on 6/2/2009 @ 10:00am | Yes I totally agree. And Puyallup is so scary! I can't believe Puyallup just bit his head right off like that! |
by NineInchNachos on 6/2/2009 @ 10:58am | The City of Puyallup mythos character is a fusion of spanish artist Francisco Goya's "Saturn Devouring his Son"
and the Tlingit Bear and or Killer Whale.
Some day I'd like to do a cartoon referencing the amazing WOODEN WAR COLLARS of the Tlingit warriors...
I thought I could fit it in this one but alas it didn't happen. |
by NineInchNachos on 6/2/2009 @ 10:59am | this is a cartoon about LOSS |
by Erik on 6/2/2009 @ 11:41am | OMG! Spooky!
Great. Now Dan can report on the mess known as South Hill. |
by NineInchNachos on 6/2/2009 @ 1:07pm | my friends, this tacomic is SOLD! |
by morgan on 6/2/2009 @ 1:20pm | RR: are you going to reveal the lucky buyer? |
by NineInchNachos on 6/2/2009 @ 1:36pm | morgan: somebody who needs art to hang in their new puyallup office |
by morgan on 6/2/2009 @ 3:15pm | Nice! |
by Dave_L on 6/2/2009 @ 4:35pm | There's at least one thing that Puyallup is home to that is way ahead of it's neighbors: www.artsdowntown.org/
(The photos aren't updated from last year yet - A new batch was rotated in, including at least one repeat Tacoma artist.) |
by Erik on 6/18/2009 @ 5:23pm | This stuff won't stop:
Tribune staffers taking furloughs Posted by John Gillie @ 06:25:18 pm The News Tribune today announced week-long unpaid furloughs for its workforce. The furloughs are part of an expense-reduction plan drawn up early this year to cope with the recession-related advertising revenue shortfalls at the Tacoma paper, said News Tribune Publisher David Zeeck. Employees will schedule the unpaid time off during this year’s second half. blogs.thenewstribune.com/business/2009/0... |

by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 6/18/2009 @ 10:41pm | I wonder where all the rodents are going in this economy. It is not as if there are other newspapers doing a lot of hiring. |
