FeedTacoma.com, in collaboration with R.R. Anderson of Holistic Forge Works fame, would like to introduce Feed>>Tacomic, a new weekly editorial cartoon for the Tacoma area. Every Tuesday a new Tacomic will take stabs, jabs and tabs of anything and everything going on or down in Tacoma.

All comics are open to discussion and we invite you to share as you like since every Feed>>Tacomic carries the Creative Commons license below. FeedTacoma.com is about community and we believe art and opinions should flow freely.

Dear Tacoma,
Please feel free to email me your grievances. Together we can work to afflict the comfortable and comfort the afflicted. Together we can make a difference.

I gotta say, I'm intrigued by this collaborative project. Great sketch work, Mr. Anderson. I'm definitely looking forward to next week's comic.

Very cool.

Alright. One potential topic for a cartoon certainly is Multi Care's plans to erect "Steam Plant" which burns natural gas when everything is going well and Deisel when it is not.

Pollutant Natural Gas from three 90 foot steel smoke stacks right next to Wright Park where young children play. Sound like something Holistic Forge Works would produce.

Here's the stats:

Carbon Dioxide 117,000
Carbon Monoxide 40
Nitrogen Oxides 92
Sulfur Dioxide 1
Particulates 7

(pounds of pollutants per billion BTU – British Thermal Units)

All we have now is the nice drawing Multi Care has given us with the "hidden" smoke stacks drawn in pencil. I wonder what they will really look like when it is built?

Tomorrow morning at 6:30am. It'll be featured all day on the front page so you can't miss it.

Since we're so concerned with Carbon Dioxide in the vicinity of Wright Park we'd better begin calculating the amount of Carbon Dioxide  that's being released into the atmosphere when the trees/branches/leaves in Wright Park begin decomposing.
