Seriously though, I was loading this strip up at 5:30 AM when my net connection crashed. "No problem", I thought- I'll load it on a thumbdrive and upload it at the office. Little did I know that Qwest's main commercial router that served our office was down today- no internet there, either. (and not particularly good for business). Third time's a charm - and it's still Wednesday, so I didn't miss my self-imposed deadline.

We live on the evening shadow side of a hill and we planted the sunflowers on the shadowed side of the house (cause I wanted bright and shineys there instead of greyness).

The plants have been up for quite some time - but there is no indication of flowers forming - grrrrr.

Last year we planted them in the sunny part of the yard and had a sunflower forest from mid-August on - which was cool.

Next year they go back in the sunny spot.
