Ocryx and Joe

Ocryx and Joe in - It's finally over. You can shut up now.

When the challenger concedes, that means no endless lawsuits, challenges, and recounts to drag this thing out forever. Thank goodness.

Don't blame me. I voted for myself.

crickets

by KevinFreitas on 11/7/2012 @ 3:28pm
I don't get it.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/7/2012 @ 4:04pm
And that...     ...is the problem.

by JesseHillFan on 11/7/2012 @ 4:16pm
It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

by NineInchNachos on 11/7/2012 @ 6:03pm
Jack Connelly and Jinx Medic have something in common!

by NineInchNachos on 11/7/2012 @ 7:19pm
I look forward to more historical / local cartoons from our friends the crows.   These national level 'no difference between democrats and racist-rape-nut-republicans' cartoons are a real drag.  There is a big fucking difference and the majority of Americans have seen it. Grand OLD party indeed.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/8/2012 @ 8:45am
Remember RR, you were the one that insisted that O&J shouldn't ignore the election season this year, and wanted them to contribute their opinions on the issues. Guess what? They don't share the shallow-minded rah-rah look-how-much-smarter-we-are than-everybody-else mindset that seems to be the prevailing attitude around here.

It is possible for free-thinking corvids to have a different opinion than the sanctioned ++goodthink without resorting to implied violence, namecalling, profanity, or implication of racism. Just sayin'.

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 8:55am
planned parent hood funding is shallow-minded?  humbug!

implication of racism?   hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I wonder who [he-who-shall-not-be-named-and-only-hires-white-folk] voted for?

I'm happy the Crows are here and it's okay to criticize their lackluster give-up-before-trying philosophy.

Marketplace of Ideas!

by The Jinxmedic on 11/8/2012 @ 9:06am
Give up before trying? Never!

Did you not see the part about "are you brave enough" to fix a broken system? That sounds like a call to ACT10N to me!

by fredo on 11/8/2012 @ 9:12am

I like the crows.  Since we have an overrepresentation of liberal/radical cartoons on feedtacoma the occasional alternative is refreshing.

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 9:22am
indeed. maybe it is a matter of editing..?  scratch off the prickish "nope. me neither."  and you got a more believable call to act10n.

again, i'm proud of the progress we've made just getting the crows to hang around for November. it's so easy to just flying away.  What wonders await next cycle ?  :)

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 9:25am
I'd like to see Mofo-from-the-hood sign up with a comic account too.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/8/2012 @ 9:49am
The "Me neither" refers to how most people just talk, talk, talk- and do nothing.

Next cycle? Expect more development on the Constitutional/Libertarian front.

by cisserosmiley on 11/8/2012 @ 10:04am
I would like that. I had 3 candidates lined up for 2012 committed to 3rd party...they chickened out! I think it's because there is SOOO MUCH non-liberal BASHING happening here. Conservatives have an important DNA structure WE need to preserve & 3rd party personalities need to be encouraged - not frightened.

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 10:19am
I was for the Executive Excellence party before I was against it.  3rd parties have best chance in small local elections.  go for it!

by cisserosmiley on 11/8/2012 @ 10:47am
All of the city wide and some county are non partisan so it's harder to start something...it's as if there's a reason...???!!!

For the record: I HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED EXECUTIVE EXCELLENCE

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 11:13am
try harder!

by NineInchNachos on 11/8/2012 @ 11:57am
not the same yo.

I voted Nader the first two times I could vote for Prez. Give me a good 3rd party option.

by Doaj on 11/11/2012 @ 3:52pm
The two party system has grown extremely stale, though I echo the statement of not being brave enough to fix it.  It seems like in this day and age, nobody really knows what's going on at the federal level, and anybody who wants to find out won't be greeted warmly.  On the plus side, Gary Johnson, Libertarian Representative, had more than twice as many votes as the Libertarian representative last year had.  Progress?  Baby steps.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/12/2012 @ 8:56am
Baby steps, indeed. My prediction is that by the 2016 election, many more voters will suddenly be interested in third-party voting.

by NineInchNachos on 11/12/2012 @ 8:57am
good luck!

by cisserosmiley on 11/12/2012 @ 11:01am
And we will drink Jones soda in our electric cars while debating third party politics.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/12/2012 @ 11:22am
A lot of people will be living in cars when it's rat-on-a-stick time.

by NineInchNachos on 11/12/2012 @ 11:51am
rat on a stick time.  10 thousand years from now during the imaginary ice age?

by The Jinxmedic on 11/12/2012 @ 12:40pm
Quite a bit of action on the Cascadia Subduction Zone as of late...    ...it might not be an ice age...

by cisserosmiley on 11/12/2012 @ 2:39pm
Tacoma is the place I'd most like to live in my electric car, eating rat on a stick & jones soda.

by Doaj on 11/12/2012 @ 3:11pm
Jones Soda may very well be the best thing about living in the Pacific Northwest.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/12/2012 @ 3:59pm
Yes, but after the fall, Jones soda will be made from REAL JONESES!

by Doaj on 11/13/2012 @ 7:09am
Healthier than 99% of the alternatives, regardless.

by cisserosmiley on 11/13/2012 @ 7:53am
I moved back to Tacoma because it was the place most likely to erupt in social revolution...not sissy council chamber sit-in flowers stuff, but honest to goodness higher statistical probability that riots & a physical dismantling of gov facilities would break out in a place like my home town. I'm here to document that process.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/13/2012 @ 8:40am
Sounds like fun to me, too. Just make sure your have tertiary backup for your documentation.

by cisserosmiley on 11/13/2012 @ 9:13am
I keep all notes in hard file titled "instructions for people"

by The Jinxmedic on 11/13/2012 @ 9:19am
It's a cookbook!

by cisserosmiley on 11/13/2012 @ 9:52am
NO !  It's a culinary guide & recipe holder.

by The Jinxmedic on 11/13/2012 @ 10:52am
Oh, that's okay then.

by NineInchNachos on 11/13/2012 @ 10:56am
NO IT'S A FLOOR WAX!

by NineInchNachos on 11/13/2012 @ 10:56am
IT'S A DESSERT TOPPING!

by The Jinxmedic on 11/13/2012 @ 12:19pm
IT'S BOTH!

by L.S.Erhardt on 11/13/2012 @ 6:07pm
Vote Green!

by low bar on 11/13/2012 @ 9:23pm
Ever heard of self fulfilling prophecies Jinx?

It obvious that a majority of America still believes in the system, just look at the election turn out. Part of the country is willing to wait in long lines, and show true resolve and a willingness to work.

The other part of the country wears a tin foil hat and complains about imaginary futures that they don't understand they have the power to influence.

Luckily, the mentally sane majority of the country understands that you get out what you are willing to put in. I think you can't see a more brighter future then those long lines at the polls.

by NineInchNachos on 11/14/2012 @ 7:38am
Amen, go Puerto Rico!
