With city provided property, building materials, and TEGRO, and with some neighborhood volunteer labor thrown in, another Community Garden is underway - this time in the First Creek area. It used to be quite difficult to get a space in a community garden, but now- you can do it! Of course, our favorite crows have just one thing on their minds...

Always nice to see more of these popping up around town along with more parking strips in front of houses being converted to no-grass and/or garden spaces. I though of O&J when I covered over my entire front yard mostly with compost from my bin when I realized the local crows were going nuts because my compost was wriggling with all kinds of tasty treats! If crows have radar for such buggies my front yard must've been glowing like a beacon! |
