by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 8/18/2010 @ 8:32am | Superb sonic boom effects on O&J in the middle panel. Pretty much how I reacted. |

by NineInchNachos on 8/18/2010 @ 1:39pm | I'm sad I missed out on all the excitement |

by Altered Chords on 8/18/2010 @ 1:41pm | We thought thorax blew something up in the port. |

by Erik on 8/18/2010 @ 3:47pm | Awesome. Simply awesome! |

by Thorax O'Tool on 8/18/2010 @ 8:14pm | I was at work, near the cooling tower. There were two distinct double booms coming from the SSW. Funny thing is, we had triggered the deluge & alarm in the CT quite literally 30 seconds before the boom. For a brief moment I thought I had blown something up. At first, we thought something did go kaboom in the plant. The shockwave rocked the control room, and they hit the emergency whistle. The contractors shut down work began assembling at the evacuation assembly locations. Threw the whole day into the shitt*r
WAS NOT FUN. DO NOT LIKE. |

by Altered Chords on 8/19/2010 @ 8:34am | It created a nice diversion to the workday for many in downtown. People came out onto broadway and looked around. Many were on cell phones to 911.
BTW - Thorax We appreciate you using the * to take the edge off of the crassness of the word.
Also BTW - whose the babe w/ the fish? |

by Mofo from the Hood on 8/19/2010 @ 11:34am | We all need a sonic boom once in awhile to remind everyone, "DON'T MESS WITH THE U.S." |

by NineInchNachos on 8/19/2010 @ 11:40am | I enjoyed Throax's story.
I heard all the toddlers at my wife's preschool were crying hysterically... some big windows in that place! Luckily nothing broke. The preschoolers won't be messing with THE U.S. ANY TIME SOON, BOY HOWDY! |
