by NineInchNachos on 1/30/2012 @ 8:28am | look forward to the next installment, and to learn the fate of ILK's comrades! |

by cisserosmiley on 1/30/2012 @ 8:36am | I miss the cat with a medical marijuana card |

by Chris 7.2 on 1/30/2012 @ 8:43am | It's a medical catnip card. |

by cisserosmiley on 1/30/2012 @ 9:00am | Oh ya Catnip |

by Mofo from the Hood on 1/30/2012 @ 10:02am | Interesting composition. With a split computer screen I placed ILK page 20 next to Iron Lung Kitty #2, which really stands out because of its traditional execution and color clarity. |

by NineInchNachos on 1/30/2012 @ 10:10am | removal of the comic sans feels like a boot lifted from the neck of this strip. Chris 7.1 is a champion! |

I'm all for compositional experimentation in order to develop a signature style, but this stylistic direction is heading towards questionable commercial success. I like the panel outlines and their quirky placements---the overall line work on ILK is always excellent---but again, the fundamental design choices involve deleting any unnecessary elements. Fans are always looking for consistent design cues. |

by Chris 7.2 on 1/30/2012 @ 10:35am | It's funny you should mention #2, Mofo, because I always go back to that page because of it's vibrancy. I want the series to go back to that brightness whenever possible.
Also, comic sans sucks kitty litter. |

by Chris 7.2 on 1/30/2012 @ 10:42am | Mofo, alot of this is experemental. The nature of the storyline allows for jumping from style to style when it's needed. For the most part, I like the look of the pages from 1 to 19 and will continue when the story calls for it. |

by Mofo from the Hood on 1/30/2012 @ 11:01am | Foundry type or making a custom font will need to include two line weights for conveying emphasis, and it's okay, maybe preferable, if it resembles the visual grammar--- i.e. Comic Sans, all caps---of what multi-generational viewers are accustomed to reading in comics. If the letterforms are consistent across the panel(s) then the words can fade into a secondary position in the visual scheme. |

Chris 7.2: No doubt, the progression of ILK shows the range of possibilities for the franchise. |

by NineInchNachos on 1/30/2012 @ 11:26am | ILK t-shirt! ILK toys! ILK joint Lego series! ILK adult swim animated cartoon series! ILK lunch box! ILK graphic novels ILK 'duster' spin off series! |

by Chris 7.2 on 1/30/2012 @ 11:46am | ILK Kitty Litter! As for duster, he will be featured more. Once I wrap up the ILK story line, I will be faced with what to do with Duster because ILK and CC's fate has already been decided. |
