britt, if you are planning on using Fredo Woman give me a little advance notice. it takes awhile for her to get her costume on.

by CaptainBritton on 7/12/2012 @ 7:24am
Right now I have enough on my plate trying to handle the current cast. (And it will continue to expand here soon) I appreciate your offer though, sir. Costumes can get tricky!...Perhaps a layer of Enlightener™ would decrease those pesky costume change times?

by NineInchNachos on 7/12/2012 @ 8:23am
sooooo many beautiful ladies!

by CaptainBritton on 7/12/2012 @ 8:29am
Hey, I just draw 'em like I see 'em....:)

The colors for the past of Peach Pass are wonderful.

Heh: "each ass".

by cisserosmiley on 7/12/2012 @ 9:57am
I thought it was Beach, Mass.

From Quikipedia - "Peach Pass is a small rural community over the mountain pass to the east of the sprawling west coast city of Subpopulis.

High school sporting events are the focal point for the community. "Go Pits!" is written on its iconic peach-shaped water tower. Peach Pass High School is in a long-heated rivalry with the other regional athletic powerhouse, "Grape Northern".  (Squish them Grapes! is a local cuss word and battle cry). The rivalry is often so heated that bottles of Grape Northern Wines are pulled from shelves during playoff season.

Peach Pass is also notable for its horse ranches, and of course, its stone-fruit orchards, especially the peaches!"

I like backstory...

No offense to the Mighty Tacomic, but this strip has become the highlight of my Comics week.

So much awesome.

by CaptainBritton on 7/12/2012 @ 11:57am
That's like comparing grapes and peaches...I'm just glad you all are along for the ride. It won't let you down, I promise!

by Maria on 7/12/2012 @ 2:19pm
Very nice. Panel three is just gorgeous. Up and Tacoming comics city!!

by NineInchNachos on 7/13/2012 @ 12:21am
say it don't spray it

by Non Sequitur on 7/13/2012 @ 12:31pm
You know, I am really digging this comic. At first I thought it was just another misogynistic female superhero tale.
While the ladies certainly seem voluptuous, it's well done.

by CaptainBritton on 7/13/2012 @ 12:58pm
Thanks! The ladies are beautiful, but as you are aware, there is more going on in the comic than a pretty face in a skin-tight suit...Man, I dig the audience here! You are all very astute!

by CaptainBritton on 7/13/2012 @ 1:05pm
Also, if you all are enjoying this, please come on back tomorrow morning for our new strip!

It's called Earthling: Man of Gold! Starting this Saturday Morning on comics!

Saturday Mornings! Just like when you were a kid!

yeah... panel 4... hands are a bit wooden.   lets see some flat/squash 'oomph' on that table smack down

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 12:46pm

Here's a great old photo of Yogi's hands.

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 12:58pm
nice character to those hands. great reference photo.

what if we did some more dynamic perspective on that panel though?
I want to see pens and stuff jumping off that desk!

I suspect the inked ruled desk line has sterilized that desk.
that hot-head windbag is probably abusing his desk ALL THE TIME!

in anime they use pencil drawings for their nostalgic flashbacks...   just sayin'

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:00pm

Well, he's not actually supposed to be "smack-downing" the table quite yet...I see what you think he's saying, but take it in the tone of the letter bubble as compared to, say, the panel below it...

And see Star's confidence in panel 5? She's not intimidated...Contrast this to her reactions on next weeks' page and hopefully you can see the progression of intensity...

Or at least that's where my head was at at the time.

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:01pm
Anime? What?

This is an American comic strip thank-you very much...

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:03pm
sesame street strategic desk/counter-top in all these panels.   is the coach a Muppet?

I wanna see man shorts!

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:05pm
ah, I see a mild desk 'fwap'

my old boss would have used his pointer finger tapping out points before working up to the bruce lee fist slam.

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:06pm
maybe open palm the desk if he's trying to maintain composure... ?

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:07pm
Man shorts are coming, you weirdo...Just hold your onto your man purse!

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:08pm
Pour your great arm-chair cartooning into your work and you'll feel a sense of self-satisfaction you can only get with ink...;)

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:09pm
it's a messenger bag!

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:10pm
It's a purse. It's just not the kind of thing people want to see out of a cartoonist.

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:11pm
re: armchair... touché ! :)

guess I can always switch to bandoleers

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:18pm
As long as you don't play professional sports looking like this...Don't say I didn't warn you.

by CaptainBritton on 7/19/2012 @ 1:20pm
And if you put higgins ink-bottles in the bandoliers it would be ok. Just try ink, you'll like it! It's what the grown-ups use!

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:24pm
I don't want to grow up!

I want to keep my quantum foam sketchergy

by NineInchNachos on 7/19/2012 @ 1:25pm
thanks for playing... Lunch with an Art Critic Thursday.
