This is part of a series of inked storyboards for the Air Swirly story, a graphic novel of sorts that still hasn't been printed, mostly because I can't stand graphic novels. The Air Swirly story starts in the mid-1930's out on the Olympic Peninsula, and eventually ends up as a contemporary story (contemporary for the late 1980's, anyways...) as it follows the small airline as it  struggles for its very existence. It doesn't help much that this particular airline has a horrendous safety record, either.

on 9/5/2009 @ 6:30pm		Spider Man and the Hulk should not exist in the same universe. It really, really bugs me when comics do universe cross-overs like that.

I mean think about it. Is Superman's shiny, modern and new Metropolis even remotely compatible with Batman's decaying, run down and old Gotham City?

I think not.

on 9/5/2009 @ 7:56pm		I'm so confused Thorax. When the hell haven't Hulk and Spiderman existed in the same universe? Or are you suggesting they never should have shared the same universe in the first place?

And as for Superman and Batman, Metropolis is like the yin to the yang of Gotham, or vice versa.

on 9/5/2009 @ 8:28pm		I suggest that Spidey and Hulk don't belong in the same universe. Perhaps they live in alternate realities, but aforementioned realities ought to not intersect.

I guess that I'm an oddball, but I dislike cross-overs and the meshing of originally non-related comics together. Some cross-overs just are too strange...

Anyhow...

Air Swirly and Kyrgyz 606 exist in similar universes, but are seperated by about twenty years of time and by one of two major oceans (which one depends on your direction of travel). However, small details like that don't necessarily rule out a crossover cameo apperance of one or the other. Stay tuned.

on 10/26/2009 @ 10:46am		That Archie comic cover is quite disturbing. Notice that Archie and the kids are at the Riverdale High SOCK HOP, but they're all wearing SHOES - - a heinous cross-over between alternate Western post-pubescent mating rituals.
